+3 To Geekdom Podcast Episode 11 - The One About Civil War, Overwatch and More!

After a bit of break to deal with that little thing called ‘real life’, we are back for episode 11 of the +3 To Geekdom podcast....and it’s a bit of a bumper episode!

To kick things off, we share our thoughts on Marvel Studios latest cinematic blockbuster in Captain America: Civil War and then head into our main topic for the month: family friendly board and table top games including the likes of Tsuro, King of Tokyo, Diamonsters, UNO (the destroyer of friendships) and more!

Following on from the board game talk, we move on to games of the video variety as we gush over Blizzard’s brand new IP, the team based first person shooter Overwatch! Not content with all of that, ‘Shithouse Theatre’ returns from its long hiatus as we discuss the Mary Harron directed cult movie classic “American Psycho”. Were we impressed by the silian rail font on Patrick Bateman’s bone coloured business card? To find out the answer to this burning question and our monthly Q&A, you’ll have to tune in to find out!

+3 To Geekdom Podcast Episode 7 - The One About Imperial Assault, X-Wing Miniatures & ‘Nerd’ Bullying

Ladies & Gentlemen, it's time for episode seven of the +3 To Geekdom podcast! On this month's episode, we have a quick chat about our time at PAX Australia (and it's amazing table top area) that took place last month here in Melbourne, Australia. This also happens to be a great segue to our table top game of the month: Imperial Assault by Fantasy Flight games! We discuss our first time playing the game and Tim goes over the in's & out's of the campaign and skirmish modes!

Things get a tad more serious with our next main topic for the month: "Nerd" or "Geek" bullying. Have you been on the receiving end? Judged for playing D&D or Magic: The Gathering? Been given crap for your cosplay or other interests? We share our thoughts on the matter with the aim of bringing one point across: Let people enjoy what they want to enjoy and don't be a dick about it!

All this and more, so be sure to tune in and have a listen!

Another month which means another episode of the +3 To Geekdom podcast! On this episode, we debut a new segment (and one that we'll actually follow up on!): What have we been drinking, eating and listening to? Yep...the hard hitting questions! Mark also stumbles his way through the New York Comic Con comic announcements and the guys get sidetracked and talk about the RetroVGS gaming console. We also have usual Street Fighter V wrap up (now titled Scrub Talk!), our Q&A session and Tim reveals how he managed to score a crapload of Power Rangers gear. Winning!

+3 To Geekdom Podcast Episode 5 - The One About Tokyo Game Show, Bloodborne & Vinyl!

What's this then? Episode 5 of the +3 To Geekdom podcast and it's on time (well...kinda). That's right folks, it's time again for your monthly dose of geekdom goodness!

We're joined for this months episode by our good friend Mr. Darren "Daz" Borg from Retro Domination as we sit down to talk about the happenings and announcements that recently took place during Tokyo Game Show 2015. Karin (of Street Fighter Alpha 3 fame) was announced as the latest character to join the Street Fighter V roster and we begin foam at the mouth at a pair of announcements courtesy of From Software: Dark Souls 3 will launching on March 24, 2016 AND Bloodborne will be getting a new DLC expansion titled 'The Old Hunters', releasing on November 24th, 2015. This leads us to our next topic of discussion: the love/hate relationship that the three of us have with Bloodborne.

This month also sees the debut of a new ongoing segment where we plan on showcasing one of our favourite table top or card games, with 'Geek Out!' courtesy of Playroom Entertainment being first up on the chopping block. Tim and Daz go head to head as they answer a series of pop culture related questions and try to psyche each other out!

To wrap things up, we delve into Tim's recent rekindling of his relationship with his beloved vinyl record collection, as we both reminisce about our awesome high school & metal head days! Of course we have another round of Q&A to close out the show. We hope you enjoy this episode and we'll see you next month!
