Geekdom United Podcast Episode 20 – The one about Oz Comic Con and Laser Discs!

It's Episode 20 of the Geekdom United Podcast, yes you read it right! We are releasing podcasts like they are out of fashion. This week see's Timmy and Matt attend Oz Comic Con in Melbourne, other than the slew of collectables, figures, comics and even vinyl records, the key stars this year were fantastic, a line up including Alyson Hannigan, Jason Momoa, Sherilyn Fenn and let’s not forget the last immortal, there can only be one, Christopher Lambert. We discuss the day's events, what we spent our hard earned coin on and who we bumped into. In addition, Matt and Daz attended a Q&A with Christopher Lambert and a special showing of Highlander at the Astor Theatre in Melbourne.

If that wasn't enough reason to tune in, Timmy introduces a new segment to the show which involves Lasers and Discs!! An episode you can’t miss, so grab your favourite super hero pyjamas, put them on and tune in.

Geekdom United Podcast Ep 18 – The One About Wonder Boy, Baskin & The Stan Lee Story

We are back (and late once again) with episode 18 of the Geekdom United podcast…and as it turns out, we’re two years old this month! Hip, hip hooray and happy birthday to us!To celebrate this momentous occasion, we have…absolutely nothing in store. With that said, on this month’s show we have a quick chat about the absolutely amazing remake of Wonder Boy: The Dragon’s Trap by Lizard Cube (to be continued on the Retro Domination podcast, wink wink) and we have not one, but three DVD reviews to cover this month. Tim braves the Turkish horror film ‘Baskin’, Mark channels his inner weeaboo and fails miserably with his review of the mecha anime ‘Aquarion Logos’ but gets his comic book fanboy on with the review of the documentary ‘With Great Power: The Stan Lee Story’. All this and more, so we hope you tune in and enjoy!

We owe a huge thank you to our good friends at Madman Entertainment and Umbrella Entertainment for kindly providing us these DVD’s for review!

+3 To Geekdom Podcast Episode 11 - The One About Civil War, Overwatch and More!

After a bit of break to deal with that little thing called ‘real life’, we are back for episode 11 of the +3 To Geekdom podcast....and it’s a bit of a bumper episode!

To kick things off, we share our thoughts on Marvel Studios latest cinematic blockbuster in Captain America: Civil War and then head into our main topic for the month: family friendly board and table top games including the likes of Tsuro, King of Tokyo, Diamonsters, UNO (the destroyer of friendships) and more!

Following on from the board game talk, we move on to games of the video variety as we gush over Blizzard’s brand new IP, the team based first person shooter Overwatch! Not content with all of that, ‘Shithouse Theatre’ returns from its long hiatus as we discuss the Mary Harron directed cult movie classic “American Psycho”. Were we impressed by the silian rail font on Patrick Bateman’s bone coloured business card? To find out the answer to this burning question and our monthly Q&A, you’ll have to tune in to find out!

+3 To Geekdom Podcast Episode 7 - The One About Imperial Assault, X-Wing Miniatures & ‘Nerd’ Bullying

Ladies & Gentlemen, it's time for episode seven of the +3 To Geekdom podcast! On this month's episode, we have a quick chat about our time at PAX Australia (and it's amazing table top area) that took place last month here in Melbourne, Australia. This also happens to be a great segue to our table top game of the month: Imperial Assault by Fantasy Flight games! We discuss our first time playing the game and Tim goes over the in's & out's of the campaign and skirmish modes!

Things get a tad more serious with our next main topic for the month: "Nerd" or "Geek" bullying. Have you been on the receiving end? Judged for playing D&D or Magic: The Gathering? Been given crap for your cosplay or other interests? We share our thoughts on the matter with the aim of bringing one point across: Let people enjoy what they want to enjoy and don't be a dick about it!

All this and more, so be sure to tune in and have a listen!

Another month which means another episode of the +3 To Geekdom podcast! On this episode, we debut a new segment (and one that we'll actually follow up on!): What have we been drinking, eating and listening to? Yep...the hard hitting questions! Mark also stumbles his way through the New York Comic Con comic announcements and the guys get sidetracked and talk about the RetroVGS gaming console. For our tabletop game of the month and after many months of eluding to it, we finally try out Krosmaster Arena for the first time and give our impressions about how not to play the game!

We also have usual Street Fighter V wrap up (now titled Scrub Talk!), our Q&A session and Tim reveals how he managed to score a crapload of Power Rangers gear. Winning!
